Agreed. I liked Sherlock (the character) when he was cold and detached - not when he suddenly became all "human". Had it happened in series four then it would have been more natural, I guess, but it just happened too soon.
Exactly. I guess that's what I liked the most about him since it contributed so well to his methods and general awesomness. Now that John is really used to his antics I guess they needed someone else viewers could relate to, but it was a mistake to change Sherlock for that.
question: what do you think is going to happen with Mary being pregnant and all?
I'm not sure. I'd guess the dynamic between Sherlock and John might change - John not wanting to go on adventures anymore because he's going to have a baby (or perhaps someone else telling him he ought to stop chasing danger.)
